How Do You Move Snow? ?

518 transmission advise needed.

I went to a small private concert with three bands, open buffet, and a comedian.

The warmups were pretty good, the comedian, well... . he sucked.

The headliner was the Jimmy Van Sant band. He's Johnny's cousin.

They did a fantastic job of the closest thing I'll ever get the the origanal Lynyrd Skynyrd. I was a little too young to see them before the crash. :(

I got to sit at the Van Sant family table. My wife is friends of the family. :)

I got some pictures with the band, but I dont know how to post them.

Stayed in, got a 5. 5lb lobster and baked stuffed it for my wife and I, rented a movie and took it easy. Watched the ball drop on TV and then went to bed. A nice quiet night.

Went out for Chinese food with the wife and kids (fa, ra-ra-ra-ra, ra-ra, ra-ra). Then went home and watched the ball drop.

Made subs with the kids, ate chips and sweets and rented some movies. We all fell asleep before the ball dropped but I am sure that I did not miss anything... Oh, watched a bunch of Twilight Zone's as Sci-Fi had a marathon running.

I know it is kinda boring but I would prefer to be at home stretched out and relaxed than in some crazy night club or big party. Call me boring but that is what I like! :)

Sounds like the way I spent just about all the new years events as long as I can remember.

Well... . either at home or working.

I have the time now to do some things I was unable to do in the past, but I dont have the health I once did.

Cant have your cake and eat it I guess. :(

I'm 41 yrs old, mind of a 17 y. o, body of an 80 y. o. :{

Happy new years to all!:D

I spent the evening with my wife and kids watching a movie, eating pizzia, watched the ball drop twice(once on east coast time and the second on west coast time). Oh and played outside in the snow with the kids and set off some fireworks. Can't think of anything better.

Removed a VE injection pump from 89 Ram untill 11:15 pm,, now installing an experimental VE injection pump using a second gen supply (piston) pump.

Drove truck from portland OR to Salt Lake City here, just started snowing here around 11 pm. Got home right at midnight.

One of the neat things about driving truck during the holidays is you see much more houses decorated in all the different towns. I see some very awesome decorations and cringe at the amount of work it took. Very gratefull to see it though.

Cowboy, Everybody here in the US is thinking about everything you do and wish good luck and god speed in getting the chore done and pray you are safe and come home soon.

23:50 - move a junker yard unit into the shop, go under it and take wheel measurements

00:20 - wait for my second unit to come in and repair some water leaks

00:40 - unit [sd60] comes in... spend next 15 min looking for parts [90° elbow brass 3/4"npt x 5/8" 37° flare]

00:55 - change elbow out, top up water, start engine and run check for leaks

01:00 - follow up changing out a GE power pack [torque base bolts 1350lbs/ft by hand with a 25:1 multiplier, time unit pump, set rack, set valves, install intake, exhaust, water manifolds, fuel lines & banjo fitting... ]

06:00 - go on a trouble call, crawl under a locomotive on the main line and removing a damaged brake stablizer bar that was tripping the dragging equipment detectors...

fun fun fun

and somewhere in there was lunch and coffee break [02:00 & 05:00]

and the same starts again today at 00:00 :(

My new year's eve was absolutely exciting compared to you guys. I worked until 8:30, came home, watched a bit of news, checked the TDR & NW Bombers sites, and I was in bed by 11:00. Whoopee.

Hung out with my buddies Eddie Montgomery and Tom Meers, of course Montgomery Gentry, Trace Adkins and Lynard Skynard were the entertainment after the back stage party.

Started off by retiring the last day of the year, and praticing up on sleeping in. Kinda weird not going to work today after working all my adult life and never being out of a job, but after just one day, I think I've got it down. Sleep in, eat, take a nap, ect. LIfe is good. :D
