The information center just above the mirror chimes when the truck travels roughly 19 miles. This happens only once. If I continue to drive all day long it will never happen again. But if I turn off the truck and turn it back on, and drive again roughly 19 miles the chimes will go off again, and again I can drive forever and this happens only once. It only tells you service is required.
2007.5 year, 3500 6.7 Dodge with 188,000 miles on the truck. I would like to know how can I clear and read what this means. Thanks for the help.

Owners manual should have procedure listed. I have to look it up in every car I have every time because everyone is different.

Thanks for the help Markekberg.. I tried the manual but I didn't find nothing there to clear or reset any type of counter.but To make sure I will look again.

Do you know what alert it is? If so it will be in that area of manual.

Just did my civic last night for oil change. Ignition on, push gas pedal 5 times and hold. Cluster will begin blinking. Cycle through display till find oil percentage. Press and hold select till display blinks. Release and press for another 5 seconds.

I swear they program these types of things when they are at a christmas party and everyone is drunk.

The perform service notice is there so you will maintain your EGR sysyem. It must be cleaned and you should also replace your crankcase breather filter.

Thank you for your help. After I've changed everything that your mentioned, will the chimes stop and rest set or is there a sequence I need to do? Thank you
