Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How do I increase my line press.

I have a stock 47re trans with an alum. pan with temp sensor. I have made some upgrades: afe intake, banks big hoss 130hp with tapped pump wire. Can I increase my line press. without replacing the valve body, or making any major mods? Thanks for any help with this.

probably just start counting the days till your transmission gives up the ghost. IMHO, you have too much power for a stock 47RE. Best to start saving for a new auto from any number of reputable manufacturers. See sig for my choice

Go to DTT web site they have a great forum to read. You will see pics on messing with the line pressure. But with you power you are on barrowed time. Turning up the line pressure will give you a little more time but it is just a bandaid. And it you go too far you lose seals. I have done that myself.

you may be able to buy quite a bit of time by buying a valve body now. Later when you go full blown trans,you can get it upgraded . See my sig for trans vendor of choice
