How do I know what version is loaded?

I have asked this question a couple of times within differnt posts and it seams to get absorbed by the main topic so I am asking it out right. How can I tell what version of load is active in the ECM or PCM. I have looked under the hood and I can find no sticker anywhere except the factory sticker up by the hood latch.

The only way to find out which program it has is to have the Dodge dealer plug in their scan tool and read it.



To find out if it was ever just reflashed for some reason,go to the service dept and have them run your VIN number. Their computer will show all records of warranty work done.



If it was reflashed it "should" have a gray sticker attached to the under side of the hood or on the radiator support. My '96 (gas)and '99 were reflashed and had stickers,but when my '00 was done,the tech never put on a sticker.

Thanks for the reply. I talked to the service manager and he indicated that the last time that it was reflashed was Oct of last year (I bought the truck this past March). When I asked him about the version he told me the samething you did. Unfortunatly I can not find a sticker. Where can I find a list of applicable ISPs for my 99?
