How do I resize my pictures so I can post them in the forums or in readers rigs?

To be able to upload a picture to the forums or readers rigs your picture needs to be smaller than 112,000 bytes. If you have a photo program you can use that to resize the picture. For the forums you needs to resize it to 560x800 or smaller. Then save it as a .jpg file and set the "quality" or "compression" to 5 (or 50%). For the reader's rigs section if you size it to 800x600 and save it as a .jpg file at 50% it should fit fine.



If you don't have a photo program or can't figure it out you can download irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com . Install and run it. Then load the picture you wish to resize. Pull down the image menu to "Resize/Resample" and then select which size you want to make it and click on OK. Then pull down the file menu to save as, change the type to .jpg and on the right hand side change the save quality to 50%.
