One trick that I and others here did before me was to take the jam nuts off the idle screw and put them both on the end of the screw opposite the screwdriver slot. (by the end where the throttle linkage hits it) Two nuts jammed together with the screw pretty much flush with the nuts seems to be about right. I had to thin one of my jamnuts just a hair. Now it is a lot easier to get to. You just adjust your idle with a 10mm open end wrench.
