Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How do you adjust the waste gate

i have a banks Waste gate and i need to adjust it so that i can get more boost. there is a shaft that I can see that has a stopper nut on it i loosened that and then tried to turn the shaft but it would not turn. so my question is how do you adjust it.

You have to remove the C clip at the end of the shaft where it connects to the waste-gate lever. You turn the end where it connects to the lever on the waste-gate. The shaft going into the vacuum module does not turn or you shouldn't't't turn it. Is it on the truck now? You should remove the hole lever and vacuum module and turn it in by hand. If you try it on the truck it is very hard to get the lever back on the waste-gate the reason is the vacuum part where the shaft goes threw has a spring in it that pulls the lever away from the waste-gate.
