How do you hold in you're stick?

Your auto trans. stick that is.



It just rattles/vibrates right off with the engine running.

Why couldn't DC put some kind of locking lever on it like some of the japs have?



My idea was to get a locking lever/tab what ever you wanna call it out of a foreign car from a salvage yard and clamp it on the dipstick tube with a hose clamp, any ideas?

I had to shorten mine about 3/8 inch now it stays put.

A lock would be a good idea like the older chev's.

Like juiced said, cut the end off about 3/8". The stick is simply too long and is hitting the bottom of the pan.
