How do you get the rear axle outer pinion bearing out - the crush sleeve bearing?? Please don't say it should just slip off the shaft #@$%!. . Cause that doen't seem to be happening here! Ref: 11. 5 with 4. 10 gears. .
The crush sleeve fits snug on the pinion shaft new. When you crush the sleeve it gets real snug on the pinion. Almost always you have to pull the pinion out to get it off. Because there is not any real way to get ahold of it.
Differential bearings are supposed to be an interference fit, they're not like wheel bearings that just slide off the spindle. Cerb is correct, you'll have to remove the pinion. A pinion driver would be suggested, as you don't want to damage the threads. The pinion installer is helpful to press the new bearing on.
