Baffling since it says that it's 2013 - up! And it takes till now? It really has a high smell factor with the current climate of EV push!![]()
The 7.3 gas Ford tailpipe is reminiscent of a old 12 valve when you look at it. I was pretty surprised at the amount of black inside, first ive seen that on a gas engine (properly running). Maybe that’s why there’s talk of a gas equivalent to a DPF in the works stateside. The government hates us diesel owners.
The truth is, the diesel engine has always been hated because it can be ran on very green bio fuels and 100% renewable fuels without digging deep into the earth without too much negated effects on performance (hp and torque numbers).
I don't know how else to explain it, but why can a modern 2023 gasoline truck able to have a sooty black tailpipe, but a diesel can't?
We really need someone smart in office to throw out this EV nonsense, and be realistic and push for bio-fueled diesel engine technology to compliment gas engines.
I do not recommend anyone trying this at home... but I've run diesels in my enclosed garage for a long time (30+ minutes) without ventilation and the CO levels didn't even reach critical levels. 5-10 minutes running a gas engine can be lethal as CO levels were extremely elevated. That alone makes diesels safer around people and better for the environment.
The modern diesel engine is efficient, clean, and most importantly much safer around people and animals.

From what I have found researching there was no HO in 2015. I honestly haven’t payed attention to horsepower ratings for the past several years because I planned on keeping my 06 for a lot longer than I didHO or SO?

I checked my online Ram garage a while ago and see no notice for the 67A recall for my 22, what I don't get is its said it the programing only effected some engine so I guess its still a wait and see thing of what will really happen...
My guess is, the 67A is for the '13-'18 trucks. Since the '19+ is a different engine, it will get a different recall number. It is also interesting to note, the '24 is not on the list.
If I get one for my '21, it will probably gather dust. Not interested in them taking away hp that i already don't have![]()
If ‘24’s aren’t effected and have the same power advertisement I doubt we lose any power.
But at this point it’s all speculation anyhow.
