Can someone tell me what the EZ does? How does it work? What changes does it make to the engine?

Thanks,

Blake

Edge EZ adds fuel pressure only. Thats it..... If you are looking for 65 +- horsepower it is a great box. I have been running one for months and am very happy. I would suggest installation of and EGT guage even on a stock truck before the install of and EZ.

I can hit 1200* with no EZ pulling empty in fourth gear. I think it happens a little easier with the box.

Basic idea I have about how it works is:

Fuel pressures are raised up in the common rail. Then since each injector is fueled by a seprate servo the higher pressure increases the amount of fuel that is put through the injector. By increasing fuel, you increase power.

Hope this helps, Greg

Thanks Greg.

I'm not familiar with the EZ or any other box as my other truck was a 12 valve and didn't need this electronic stuff.

Was the EZ available for the 24 valve ISB engine and did it do more than the one for the ISBe?

Were other electronic boxes available for the ISB that were better and may soon be available for the ISBe?

Thanks for any lessons here.

The EZ was available for the 24v ISB trucks. It put out about the same amount of power. Perfect for the stock truck. Won't harm transmission or clutch.

There are a couple of companies out there trying to get the programming down for a more aggressive box on the ISBe. Bullydog has sent me one to test and I will post soon what I think. Thanks, Greg
