I have been reading on the site about water injection. Sounds very interesting but from the threads I have read I cant seem to fiquire out how it works and how to set it up. Can someone shed some light? I tried the www.snowperformance.net site and it doesnt seem to be working

Jeff, Matt must have his site down right now, once it's back up he has instructions on it you can read, also I have a thread in the competition form about it as I have been running it for some time, on the DTR site I have a thread going in the HP section, both are good for questions and concerns, now I will answer just a bit but please follow the other thredads for better results.

Q- If I can drop the air temp at the intake hat 55 degrees what will happen to the air density, now add methanol to the picture what will happen to the power.

Hey Thanks Jim, I see his site is up so I am filling my brain with info. I noticed he is right here in Colorado, about 2 hours south of me, I may plan a trip down to see his projects. Heck, maybe if there is an upcoming TDR meet around here we can get em to come and show his stuff!!!

One question, it seems that injecting water/methanol into the combustion chambers that you are asking for corrosion and rust problems. Is this the case?

Jeff,

Think about the combustion chamber temperatures that the water is going to see. It should be vaporized long before it enters the combustion chamber, but the heat of compression and combustion will ensure that it's in the vapor state in the combustion chamber, and conditions in the combustion chamber will be far from the saturation point, so no corrosion should occur. In effect, it acts just like the water vapor in the atmosphere.
