Competition Testing slips -

My 94 TD Ram has run 15. 06 at 87mph on 285/75/16s with a very unhappy stock converter and no transmission work. Converter was slipping like crazy. A converter and some transmission work are definately in order. An HX40 is also in my future.

How about the rest of you guys, what does your baby run?

Well for my stockish truck, my best is 15. 641. By stockish I still have stock injectos, clutch, turbo, plate. I can still get more power out of my truck. The nonstock parts I have is a 24V intercooler (body shop put the wrong one in). And scotty or pscotty air.

Best from mine is a 16. 20@84. I have tire spin in third pretty bad. On a cool day with some traction I bet I could get a 15. 90 out of it.

what about you HVAC, 13. 10@111. 66mph. I wish you could have made a run yesterday at the mopar meet.

My truck ran 12. 67@104. 66mph on 35"bgf m/ts, launching in 4wd with a 1. 703 60foot time at 6300lbs. :)

Missed The Mopar Drags

I completed my new twin turbo installation late Thursday night and I'm being a little cautious. Waiting for a connecter hose to blow off on the highway:) Today or tommarrow I'll load a box full of spare air x air clamps to throw in the truck. Then I'll see how the turbos perform with the fueling box and Nos on:eek:

I wish I could have been at the strip to watch the rest of you all scamper down the abbreviated mile:D Greg brought home the burnout trophy so thumbs up to Greg.

Maybe we can take the truck to Sears Point to get a couple runs in. The auto trans is working well now that the new vavle body is in. Better yet, let's go back to Sac on a Friday afternoon. On a day when it's scheduled to be COOL!:)

Nowel, I'll second that! Going back to Sacramento on a Friday afternoon, that is.

Well, Saturday was my very first time racing, and I must say, I ain't too proud of my first time. I fell asleep waiting for the christmas tree, and my reation time was a lousy 1. 3 seconds. My ET was 17. 6 at 86. 9 MPH. I raced Greg (Cumminzpower) and he beat the heck out of me. Good show Greg!

Sac drag strip seems to have a Friday night Test and Tune, so maybe... ... ... I'll get back there and see if I can't do better next time :D Then maybe if I get an Edge Comp box... :D

Tom

16. 9 @ a bit over 80 mph - too cautious off the line out of fear of poor traction - should do more like 16. 5 with decent power braking at launch...

13. 9 et 1. 9 60ft don't remember the exact mph, close to 100mph though. Weighed in at 7000lbs that day.

Nowel, give her hell bud! Good luck!

My best ET to date was 15. 22 @ 92. 12 MPH. 7115 w/o me (280lbs). This was launching in 2 WD w/ some spin. I haven't had the balls to launch in 4 WD. This was also before my governer spring kit was in.

Lauching a truck with this much torque and a manual is a real hand full.

My best so far was a 16. 55, with 2 bad shifts, on 315's. I have since turned it up some more... I now have that slipping clutch thing going on:D :D :D
