Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How hard are guages to install?

Hi all:



Am ready to invest in guages from my rig but want to know how difficult they are to install. Gauges I am looking at are EGT, Boost, Fuel Pressure, and Auto transmission.



My truck is a 02 2500 fully loaded with the auto transmission. I do have the speakers on the a-pillar.



Is this a 1 day install? Any special tools needed? Can a guy with slightly better than average mechanics skill install these by himself?

The install shouldn't take more than 5-6 hours for a first timer, definatly in a day. You'll need a 1/4 NPT tap and 7/16" drill bit for the EGT probe. For the trans temp gauge sender, you can get a new line with a sender port already built into it, from the dealer. Do a search for the part number, and also for directions on the installation of all the gauges. Have fun.
