Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) how hard is it to perss out input shaft 47rh?

i just bought a 95 ram 3500 2wd, the trans is fried, no big deal i can rebuild it, but the rear clutch welded itself to the hum and i need a new one. the input shaft is fine. i have one from a 727 that looks to be the same, just need to switch the input shafts. anyone know how hard pressing it in/out is? any tips? thanks

no one has changed their own input shaft?

Well, mine stripped the splines the other day, so I bought a new one, and pressed it in, it wasn't too bad, if you have a small press it should go right in.

As far as using the 727 input shaft, I thought those were non lock up torque converters, so they'd be missing a passage, but I'm no dodge transmission expert.

not the shaft but the hub the shaft is pressed into.

also i have 1 extra 47 rh and a 727 (from a diesel) input shafts, and most parts from 727. cheap/trade
