How has everyone been?????

Okay, first off there are a lot of new people on here that I don't recognize... and a lot of new people that wont recognize me, but I'm not new to this diesel stuff but I've been out of the loop lately. I got kinda burnt out on the TDR because of the senseless bickering and BS that was going on here but the fact is that i just couldn't stay away... LOL

My question is this,

What is the news on the auto transmission aftermarket?

I am building my '02 finally and I only want to do this once. . (hopefully), (some of you might remember all the dead trannys from the '01 truck  ) I think the auto will live a longer life and be easier on parts.

I think I will go with DTT because of their willingness to sell me all of the parts I will need to build the transmission myself.

This truck will make in the neighborhood of 650 RWHP and be driven everyday so it needs to be streetable.

I would appreciate any suggestions on this subject without starting a ******* match...

Thanks for your help,

Jonathon

John, what's happenin' ? I hope we Keep the above statement True. There's been alot on the trans front as of late but you've caught mostly all of it I am sure. Well ya know what DTT is like and how they stand by the product, Why not hop on the internet bandwagon check out the others ... ... . maybe give 'em a call and make your own judgement as the others wouldn't be selling cr@p or there would be nothing to sell to anyone. The only mistake I made was calling Bill K up in Canada... ... ... . On a friggin' Cell Phone :{ between the two of us my bill was more than my converter alone :-laf :-laf

Yep, I'm serious... . Thoes numbers were with a custom N20 system that I built.

John, remember that one (inarush76) built for me last year when I was below 300 HP, well it's still the same one and I'm at 475+ now, miles are at 26,500 on it. Guess you know my opinion!

www.atsdiesel.com

www.suncoastconverters.com

www.bd-power.com

point on the blue urls and click to go to their sites.

ATS and suncoastconverters both make a triple disc lockup converter that can shift locked to locked. ATS is right next to you.

Call them all and make your own decision on what is best for your particular application. Make sure you get someone from the company that knows what they are talking about instead of some phone answering professional.

I had no luck getting a response from DTT or BD via the web. I emailed them both a month or so ago and still no response. On the other hand ATS replied to my email within a day or two.

I'm trying to line my ducks up as sometimes I can feel the dreaded TC shudder while towing. I want to be ready to drop the proverbial dime when the time comes but when one company responds to a sales/tech inquiry and the others don't I know who I'm inclined to gravitate to.

Disclaimer - Not affiliated with any of the trans companies and still not decided on who'll I go with so I'd ask all of you DTT lovers to please don't flame me as a DTT hater :D
