How hot should a T-case/transmission get?

After installing my new transmission I'm curious how hot the NV4500/transfer cases should get?



They get just hot enough I cant touch them now? Should they be getting that hot?

I see 150 to 180 non-tow depending on weather. Towing in 90 plus degrees about 220 max. I do run a fast cooler on the drivers side and a filter on the pass side.
