I have a bullydog downloader on extreme setting stacked with a volumizer on the 100 hp setting. My pyro is pre turbo on the back half of the exhaust manifold about 1" up from turbo. It is a dipricol gauge. My concern is that i have never seen any temp over 850*. I havent laid into it for a good run yet just the bursts of maybe 4 to 5 seconds because of the trans(stock 48re). I have a stock turbo, 5 inch exhaust no muffler, and an afe filter. Just wondering if the pyro is working properly. Any one using a similar setup? All comments are welcome.

Thanks

Steve

I know the 600s run hotter than the 555s, but just cant see that much difference. Completely stock my 600 could hit 1350 on WOT. Pre-turbo top of manifold between 3 & 4.

Cruising at 70mph will be 700-800, but hard acceleration will push over 1300 if I stay on it.

Sounds about right for short few second blasts. I see the same on mine for short hits like that. I have the diprocol gauge and the TST with gauges, running a probe for each, and they are real close to each other in the readings. See my sig for upgrades. We are pretty close.

On edit, I have to admit, on longer runs, the temps will hit 1400 pretty quick, but you said you were only doing short runs. With the TST on 5, I hit 12-1300 on long sustained WOT runs. It takes higher settings to get above that, but it comes down almost as fast as it goes up.
