Is there a known temp that the grid heaters warm too?
I just replaced my batteries and cleaned all of my connections including grid contacts and relay connections.
It was approx 12 deg last nite when I fired up my truck, it turned over good but rumbled to weak choppy idle. Almost wanting to stall out. To be more descriptive it was as if the grid heaters were not heating up completely or hardly at all. Ive had 5 of these trucks and this is the worse starting one by far.
I do have the Edge attitude monitor and was watching the air intake temp while I cycled the grid heaters and it displayed 28 deg. That seems a little low to me ? I get the same results even if I cycle it multiple times
During the start process it did cycle normal and I was able to hear the "click" when the wait to start light went out. When the truck fired and idled I could hear the grid heaters cycling . (surging the eng idle). .
What should I be seeing for normal temps at the IAT when cycling the heaters ?
Thanks in advance, Tom
