Yes, it is much easier than the tabbing procedure. You only have to remove half the parts, much less mess, it took me less than an hour to do mine.



Doing the tab procedure allows you to tighten most bolts inside of the timing case, which some feel is a potential problem. If there are no oil leaks from the timing case, I dont see a reason to do this, as most bolts were locktite'd from the factory. There are opinions on each side of the fence.

just remember that the timing case BOLTS can and have backed out and fallen in the timing gears...



just tab it and never worry about it again.
