Yup..... a cord of wood is 8'x4'x4'.

There is also a FACE cord... . which is 8'x4' x the length of a single stick. May be 12" deep, may be 4' deep, all depends on the cut.

Unfortunately, far too few people know there's a difference.

128 cu. ft. of bark, wood and air. Tell them you would like to have 5700lbs of wood. Most hardwood cords will weigh in at 5500-6100lbs. Pine would be lighter, and wet wood would not yield as much.
