How long before I install my exhust brake?

I have a new 1 ton dually on order with a 4. 10 rear end and 6 speed manual and will be installing a Mopar exhaust brake. Is there a break-in period or minimum mileage requirement before I install it?

I ordered my Exhaust Brake when I ordered the truck. The dealer installed it, and was on at delivery to me.

BTW, there is a 500 mile break-in required before you put a load behind the truck. This is mostly for the differential. With the whining problems some seem to be having, I'd say you want to stick with this, at least for warranty sake (although proof would be hard for the dealership).

Have a friend with a new truck and dealer installed brake. He is very unhappy with the effectiveness of the brake. Does not work nearly as well as his older five speed. Any one have any input as to if the dealer or factory would not set this unit up to not work as good as the older units?
