Now that fuel is so expensive I can't really afford to drive my truck much, I got to wondering just how long I can leave fuel in it.

I haven't driven the truck in almost 2 weeks now. I filled up on January 29th, then again on March 27th. The March 27th fuel is still in the truck, and at my current usage rate it'll be in there for quite awhile longer.

Are there dangers to this?

I have only filled my tank one time this year.

Air will condensate and become water. When people leave a tank half full of fuel they tend to forget it is half full of air.

Back when I was skydiving, it was a big no-no to park our planes with less than full tanks.

My truck often sits 4-6 weeks without being run. I always park it with a full tank and have never had any problem with it. My bigger concern is with the lack of lubrication at start up. Ed B

I guess with my extra tank in the bed I need to fill it. I can use the oem tank and it won't hurt so bad to fill it. To buy 100 gallons would hurt!
