When you clean the yard...

When you change your oil, how long do you let the oil bottle/can drain before you throw it away?

a. Good to the last drop!

b. Life's too short!

c. Save it for a rainy day!

I use a funnel large enough so I can pour and leave it. Since I have other chores (multi-tasking as they say) I let 'em drain to the last drop.

BTW, Doc, what's your oil of preference. I'm a fan of Castrol GTX.

Cheers, Joe.

oil fill

doc:

you mighta shoulda added another option--"depends on the day"

if i'm hurrying, life's too short. other days, i put the bottle in the funnel, let it drain while i "multitask". don't save the bottles to drain later, like i used to in years gone by... ... ... "life's too short":D

I only add make up oil so I throw the bottle in the fill tube, lower the hood to stabilize it and multitask. (So, is sitting on the can and reading multitasking too?) :)

Since I buy my oil in 55 ga drums I do turn them over and let drain overnight into a 5 ga bucket, usually get about 2 gallons. Oil distributor won't take them back unless they are empty and a pump leaves a little in the bottom.
