How Long Does it Usually Take!

Mailed my oil sample off to Blackstone Labs on 8/16/04. Instructions said they would send results e-mail if e-mail address was supplied, it was. Have not received anything regular mail or e-mail. Just wondering how long it would usually take to receive results.

I put a sample in the mail box on Saturday 7/31/04 and got my results by email on 8/12/04. Got the report in the mail on 8/15/04. I'm in Northern Colorado.

Most of the time is in getting the sample to the lab. I've been told that blackstone will analysis the sample the same day if they get it before 10am.

I know it seems like a long time. I swear the post office people sniff it and treat it like its hazmat.

Still waiting, wondering now if it got lost in the mail, "what's the longest anyone's had to wait for results".

Mine usually took at least 2 weeks sometimes more. The PO takes its time with those bottles.

I would bet it got lost in the mail. They seem to run a top notch organization. The last sample I dropped off there, I had the results the very same day. If you are ever in Fort Wayne, I recommend you stop by Blackstone. They are more than happy to show off their lab.

I sent Blackstone a e-mail an received a reply back from them saying sorry we have not received your sample, but don't give up hope it's rare for one to get lost,sometimes it just takes a while, maybe got sent to another lab an they have to forward it to us. Today it's been a month since it was mailed.

Yeah, It sounds like something happened in transit. I'm sure they'd mail you another sample kit for free for your next change. Since you started this thread, one of my coworkers has used them also with no incident and quick turnaround.
