Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How Long Does Your Lift Pump Run on 2002

I have a new 2002 245 HO Cummins. When I turn the key on and get the "Wait to Start" light, the lift pump runs for 1/2 second or less. Sometimes it does not run at all.



On my 2000 the lift pump would run the entire time the "Wait to Start" light was on.



On the 2002 I can bump the starter and hear the lift pump run for about 30 seconds, so that is normal.



So what is your experience? Does your 2002 lift pump run 2-3 seconds or 1/2 second or less. I don't know if I have a problem, just want to know what is normal.



Also on a stock 2002 245hp HO, what is your boost pressure at WOT?

Mines the same as yours. . as far as boost pressure stock 20 lbs. . with ttpm and afe filter 22.
