how long have you been driving a dodge cummins ?

Bought my first one Feb 92. Presently have 236K on it. Also have an 01 with 25K. 92 is a better truck.

6 months, and almost 20K miles.



I wrenched for Chevy/GMC for nearly 17 years. Never thought I'd drive any other truck. Owned two 6. 5L turbos. Went to a Dodge Cummins class last winter... . and started looking for one. I can't believe how heavy they are built. Not necessarily a Dodge fan, but I like the truck now too. At 6'5" I appreciate all the room in the cab.

Since the summer of '95 when I purchased a '94 4X4 2500, (37k in 18 months on that one) Then came the '97 2WD 3500 X tra cab in Feb of '97, (102k till I traded it off in Nov'02 on my '03 3500 4X4). 21k on it till date. Also had a '93 W-250 Xtra cab for a year and a half that also was traded on the '03, (20k in that time). Probably keep my eyes open for another 1st gen 4x4 just for the heck of it!!!

Going on six years now... Took delivery of my '98. 5 on June 12, 1998, the '01 on April 26, 2000, and the '03 on May 31, 2003. Combined mileage is around 200K. Great trucks.

A hair over 2yrs (11/01). If had the money to blow, I would get rid of my Ford and get a 1st genner ('93 clubcab 4x4 I hope someday ) The first Dodge diesel I rode in was '93 D-350. The first Cummins ran was a 290 SC 855 in an old LN9000. Have run serveral 8. 3's, BC 855 and N-14's. No complaints about any of them at all.

I got Cummins fever about 3. 5yrs ago... always wanted a 96-98 12v 5sp... couldn't afford one and bought a 91. 5 auto a couple years ago. had it for ~14 months and sold it back to the guy I bought it from... ~9 months later I finally bought a '97 5sp truck!



I hope to always have a P pumped 12v truck in my arsenal!!!

Bought my 03 Dodge CTD January 13, 2003. Looked for several months at used ones, and just could not find what I was looking for at the time. Bit the bullet, and bought a new one, hope it last a long time according to the warden, I mean my wife.

Well I'm only 20 years old, and this is my first CTD but I bought it on August 20th 2001. Oo.

Bought my first one, a 2500 auto in 05/01. Traded it with 49K on the odometer for an '04 3500. I traded only because I tow a 5th wheel and needed more truck, towing mirrors, 4 full doors, 4. 10 rear end, etc. Though I performed all maintenance as scheduled, I was scared about towing a 31 ft 5th wheel with a 2500 3. 54 rear end SO automatic--I always felt the truck was strained a bit. I'm sold on Dodge/Cummins--wouldn't drive anything else except a Freightliner tow truck, but that would be overkilll!

My first CTD was a 91 1/2 (first Intercooled & overdrive auto) bought new in August 91. Second one, a 94' CTD was delivered on Christmas eve of 93, and the 03' CTD was delivered on Thanksgiving eve 2002. All of my CTD's have been ordered to my specifications. Each one has been better in all areas, the 03' is by far the best driving, riding, handling of ALL!
