How long on ordered trucks???

Just wondering how long it took everyone to get their trucks that ordered them?? My dealer says 8 weeks... ... It's going to be a long wait... ...

The problem is that those guys in the shipping department in Mexico don't know where Canada is. The same dudes that were on a siesta when they should have been tightening the nut on my fan.

i'm heading there for vacation first week of nov, tell me where it is, and i can check on my truck.....

I ordered 8/7, my truck will be built around 11/10 or so I am told, and I expect it early in December. :{

Hey David, do you have any ideal why it is taking so long?? Also,

how are you tracking the progress of your truck??

Just bad luck.

8/7 through the beginning of september, my truck was on restriction because they ran out of Graphite Metallic paint. Beginning of september through middle of october, there was some problem where my truck just got "stuck" in the computer, not moving on to D1 and being built as it should. Took a lot of yelling from my dealer to get it to move. Now I'm just waiting to see if it's actually built in the 2nd week of Nov as promised.

Order

I ordered mine on 9/25/02 (1 yr to the date that I took delivery of my old '02) and it is in build right now, scheduled to be shipped

this Friday. They tell me it will take 1-2 weeks to ship from

Mexico via Texas/Strlg Hts Mich/Dealer in G. R. Mich.

Wish I could go see it being built, then again maybe not.

I might be too fussy about fan bolt tightening and jimbob

taking a siesta in the back seat at break time.

I have been on 10-20 assembly lines and it can be a pretty

laaaazy environment, with GM ranking at the top. One big reason

I would not buy a D-max. :--)

Ordered 8-22-02: 2500 HO 6sp 4X4 Flame Red QC SB. Should be shipped from St. Louis Thursday Oct 24th and hopefully to the dealer next week Oo. . I'm in Peoria, IL so it's not a long haul

Ordered mine through Roanoke. It took about 4 business days from the time it arrived in St Louis until it arrived at the dealer. Curious - where did you order yours from?

If it's gone D1 then it has a VIN number and a build date, and Dodge can tell you both of those if you ask.

I called yesterday and was told mine was D1. I asked what the build date was and was told it did not show one. I guess that is typical customer service. Probably could call again and get a different answer.

Yeah, you must of gotten a bad CSR. I'd try again, and ask for the VIN too. . Once you have the VIN, it makes it quicker to track next time you call.



Should be able to get an insurance quote with the VIN too.



Mine has a VIN/build date despite only being D status, which is one step behind yours.
