how long should my stock turbo last?

I'm a bit over 90k miles, mostly towing miles grossing 17 to 23k, but mostly 17kish. In the early days i ran an EZ on level 4 and then a juice at level 5, boost limited to 36 lbs.



When I tow, it's often a long trip to a race with the Jeep or a vacation pulling the boat, so reliability is key. I just lost a turbo (early in life) in my toterhome so I've ahd a wakeup call. Should I just upgrade? change bearings every 100k miles?



I'm probably going to sell the toter (trimming the budget) and the dodge will have to step up again:)
 
Id say there are alot of diffrent factors that contribute to turbo failure. Even with your setup they can go a long time or just a few miles if you do or dont know what your doing. If you keep temps down, let it idle to cool off, dont overboost it, and dont bark it, I think 100k shouldnt be a problem.

Well, that's just it, it occasionally barks and if there is a way to drive/shift differently to avoid that I have not figured it out yet. I've got 90kish now, shut down mostly 350 or beliow but will shut it down at 375 if I'm in a hurry- less than 10%. no more than 36 lbs.





Sounding like my core is shot on the toter, so I'm even more concerned
 
In my '98. 5 the turbo out lasted the motor. 275k when the crank sensor tone wheel went through the side of the block. I Always waited to 350 to shut it down. It was "Bombed" to 400hp/1050tq. for 250k of that 275k
