how loud is the jake brake?

i love the sound when a big rig hits the jakes. how loud are these jakes when you hit them? how does it sound with straight pipes? stock pipes?

PacBrake sound real cool with the 5". My wife says that she should have just bought me a noise maker at wallyworld to play with. She thinks that would have saved us some money.



Sounds like a compressor going on then backpressure sound. Not loud like a big rig But still sounds pretty cool. Release is nice big his like a dryer in air brakes.

Don't get your hopes up for the big rig sound.



All the brakes for our engines are EXHAUST brakes and not ENGINE brakes. They make a loud HISSSSS sound not the loud B-R-R-R-R-A-A-A-A-P of the big ones.
