How many 1st gen diesels were made vs gasoline versions?

I seem to remember seeing in a diesel power article that it was around 100,000. Dunno how accurate that is, but its better then nothing.

wow! if thats right... that is crazy. i never see these trucks that often, but i sure thought there were more than that out there. i guess not. so why arnt are trucks worth twice as much as they are!?

The value is not always up there because some people just don't like the old body style. ( I aint one of them, having owned 6 - not including parts trucks -in the last 27 years )

Thanks for that link. The Boston Globe is doing an article on my truck and I was looking for some production stats.



I know in the 70's for pick-ups ford and chevy made around 10 trucks for every dodge. Now I just need to find those numbers.
