Does anyone know how many first gen trucks Dodge made? Any extimate as to how many are on the road now?

Did the search and added the numbers. For anyone who wants to know, the reported total is 179,327. That is one heck of a lot of first gen trucks. While I believe the numbers, I don't see that many of the trucks. Even if 25 thousand may have been wrecked or something, that leaves 150 thousand still around. Looks like we would see more of them.



Cummins has now delivered one million engines to Dodge. Now that is a bunch for sure. Think of all those upgraded engines and dana 80 parts that will be available to us first genners when the second genners crash. Hey!!! I am not wishing anyone bad luck but when it happens-----



When I consider the membership at TDR, we have a long way to go getting everyone involved. Membership is less than 2% of possible. Having read some of the post on the second gen trucks, I can see that those guys have some problems as well.



The newest trucks don't have any problems according to most owners except how to get in without cracking you head. What happened with cab forward and all that jazz.



Saw a comment on signing up the guest browsers. All I can say is,"you don't know what you are missing". While some may think 35 dollars is too much for what we get, I have recovered ten times that by using the classified to buy parts.



I have made a real effort at signing up new members. People can be downright snotty when approached with a paper in your hand. They always respond different when they realize that you are not selling something. Actually had a few thank me.
