How many fuel boxs can you run??

Ok here is the question. While looking throught the forums tonight I ran across a couple of signatures that look kind of like this example.



HX-40 Turbo, HOT Power Edge, PE EZ, Bully Dog Stage III injectors





My question is this. Are not a HOT Power Edge and a PE EZ two different fuel boxes. I ask this because in the above example, it would appear that both of these are being run at the same time. I have seen similar signatures with what appears to be combined products of the same type all running at the same time.



Do I have this right or am I missing something? And if this is right, how would you configure something like this? To bad we don't put all this in a book of tried and true stuff.



Curosity is really making me wonder here. Thanks for reading this.

I only run one box - but - heres the skinny, to my understanding. The EZ not only uprates the fueling, but advances the timing too. The EZ connects into the CAN-Bus on the back of the VP44 (Just like my VA). I cannot speak from expirience with the PE comp, only the PE - It connects to the MAP Sensor/data bus and the solenoid wire coming from the Pump Control Module. It is a major fueling box, which means it controls the fueling solenoid directly.



Having dual boxes does this:



Advances the timing for lower egts and more power.

Puts in GOBS of fuel for more power.



Either on alone cannot do as much as both.

I have an EZ on my truck and the install was at the back of the engine to the MAP Sensor and the Data Link setting on top of the fuel lift pump. I'm suprised that you would be able to run both. It seems like they would interfer with each other.

They Compliment Each Other

The PE Comp is a combination of the PE and the EZ, it plugs into the MAP Sensor and the CAN Bus and runs a line to the Injector Pump.

The EZ and the PE Can be run together just connect them in series at the MAP.

You can piggyback them, depends on the boxes. I'm running a Edge EZ with the TST, actually, it's the other way, going by the MAP sensor piggyback. TST into the block, then the EZ and then the OEM plug.

So running these boxes in series does not hurt anything. It has got to add a whole lot of umph!! to the performance with the two of them I would gather. Does anyone have a break down of what the difference would be with two vice one???

TDR member Hiperf360 took more than a half second of his truck by adding an EZ along with his Blue Chip Premium FMS system. Went from a 15. 15 to a 15. 41 on the stock 01 5spd clutch. I would say it works

I've got a TTPM (DD version of the EZ) and a Blue Chip FMS (major fueling box) together. The two work together very well. Haven't had the TTPM off and run the other things separately, but the FMS box off gives me a 0-60 of 7. 4 seconds, and on max lowers it to 6. 1 seconds. The FMS box won't hide the increased boost from the ECM as does the TTPM. That's the main reason I use both.

Boost Module

I thought the FMS had a boost module built in it? I think Jons does... at least he didn't get a check engine like with 30psi. Hmmm wonder if its just on your Beta Version?
