Strange Noise

Just hit 164k!! I bought this truck a little over a month ago with 142k on it. It does anywhere from 3700-4200 miles a week. Last week I did my best and worked 7 days and logged 6280 miles. That was a rough week with little rest. These trucks like to work and I work mine hard!!

Wow, Carl slow down. Last week you averaged 75 mph - 12 hours a day for 7 days in a row. Hope you had someone helping you drive.

NO, if Karl slows down, he'll have to drive LONGER. Hammer down man!

Just hit 93000 today. Going to look at truck with 125k on it tomorrow. Mom's has 47k or so on it and Dad's is around 145k.

Mine had 47000 on it June of 02, when I got it.

Slow down??? I do not plan on doing that again. The worst part was the next day I went on vacation and drove to Florida for a week. I plan on sticking to my usual 4000 or so a week. Also I did it solo.

90,000 shown on the odometer more like 200,000 plus actually  (Speedometer cable was cut from 97 - 02)

A man & wife "team" at Hoosier had a writeup in the local paper when they turned their first mil on a Ram. Takes better than three years a teamin to do a mil. That's running 20 hrs a day 30 days a month. Don't know what his wifey has clocked but the man has bout 2. 5 mil under his belt. Now buddy. . . that's some chuggin. Now they each drive their own Ram, his is haul'n'tow. They try to load and run to same location or close, he carries one drags another, she tows one. After they drop he loads her on his and only run one back. Both Rams have sleepers. I think they order tires, filters and such by the truckload. Prolly get oil in 55 gallon drums. I imagine a DOC or two has retired off their contributions.

Cheers,

Steve J.

522,846 Miles and going strong, check brake discs and rear drums for needed replacement. Throttle & cruise control cables for fraying and then slide under it and tighten all the bolts with a torque wrench. Oo.

75,000

75k and still going strong. Can't believe how much I still enjoy driving it. I have never been this satisfied with a vehicle before.

Almost 95,000 on the 4x2 now. Awaiting turbo--for overfueled condition. ;)

142,000 on the 4x4 auto--I've just started BOMBing it. Them 12v's are funny critters. But it's coming right along. 141,000 at 160 stock HP, that's just pitiful!!! I should have it over 300 REAL SOON!

Both of these trucks make me smile every time I fire them up. Mom's does too for that matter--just because she has a Cummins.

So much diesel, so little time.
