How do I contact a Regional Service Advisor for Dodge?

Think it will tow all right?

Bought my 90 in 02 from a construction company. Odo read 294k. The guy who drove it for the company said the speedometer had been broken for a number of years and went on to say it had to be over 1/2m miles on it.

I since have fixed the speedometer by replacing the sending unit.

I therefore claim it is a half million mile pickup.

It runs very good yet,, looks a little rough but as I get $ together I'll get it repainted.

The construction company did not take too good care of it from the standpoint of looks but they were very strict regarding maintenance.

It uses no oil, it is an AT and has nover been worked on either.

Sometime during the previous owner it developed a rear main seal leak so while they were fixing that they spun new bearings in it.

Never had anything else done. .

I would buy another DC in a minute but for what I use it for it would be a shame to put a new pickup through it. It's in the dusty fields enough that every cranny must be full of dirt.

During the summer I travel at least once between Colorado and Washington and back with it. Has never let me down.

i've had 5 CTD's 1st 92 cant remember

#2 28k on a '93 4x4

#3 another '92 put about 50k

#4 '96 CC 4x4 84k before i wrecked it!!!

#5 '01 218k and still driving every day,as well as an annual trip to the left coast for May Madness, and to see the daughter and grandkids... . pulling a 27' HR 5'er

Was reading an article in "RV life" at Chapters tonight and there is lady who for a living delivers 5ver's and TT's from Manufacturer to the new owners/buyers.

According to the article she has logged 700,000 miles on her 96 2500 srw ram/cummins, and at least 500,000 delivering these trailers up and down the Oregon coast to Canada/Alaska. She wa quoted as saying that it was because of the cummins that she has done just regular maintenance and a fuel/lift pump only.

1989 W250 had 150,000 mi when purchased, now 245,000 mi = 145,000

1996 2500 had 165,000 mi when purchased, had 230,000 mi when sold = 65,000

2001 3500 had 239,000 mi when purchased, now 510,000 mi = 271,000

Grand total 481,000 mi

The 2001 had 400,000 on original injection pump when I replaced it.

Also owned 1999 Freightliner/Thomas 66 pass school bus, put 50,000 mi on it before selling.

Godspeed,

Blacksheep, has the '01 been bombed most of the last 271k miles? That's about the highest miles I've heard of on a 24-valve. How tight is the motor? The engine in my '96 is definitely getting a bit tired at 403,500 mi. . . not very smooth and uses oil.

Vaughn

Vaughn,

Yeah, the RV275's went in about 285,000 and the Catcher (which was full boogie Smarty) about 325,000. Added the TST at 500,000 just to run on the lowest level and try to gain extra mpg's. Still an extremely strong truck considering the minor upgrades. Uses 4 quarts of oil between changes at 10,000 mi but most of it ends up on the garage floor and the road in the form of drips. Would not be afraid to go back on the road pulling campers with it.

Godspeed,

Trent

I got 125K on my 97 before selling it and now have 11K on my 06 that I got last July. I'm just a babe in the woods mileage wise!

WOW  thats got to be close or is a record on the TDR with an original Vp-whats the secret if any? :D DW

My dad has 256k on his 99 with the original VP44... I think it is nothing more than the quality of fuel you run... he ran from the same station almost 200k of those miles. I had just over 200k on my 99 on the original VP44, and while I didn't use the same fuel, I ran additive in every tank.

I have 107k on my 04. 5, traded my 99 in with 201k (also original VP44), and about 50k on an 89 I drove a bit... my dad has 256k on his...

So I have roughly 350k on just my own, not including my dad's truck.

Ive logged too many trucks and too many miles!

The 2000 I have right now I bought with 62k in June 05 and now it has 247,000 and will be getting a cam, fire rings, studs, Don M Mach 7's, water/meth, and nitrous in the next few weeks :D Im trying to accomplish 750+ HP by IRP to represent Iowa at the strip. I forgot the part about TWINS! :D

about 2 years ago on my way to thunder in muncie was filling up the truck and start to talking to a man with a 95 12v and he said on his first motor he made it 900k and he was on his second motor and at one million 200k miles which i thought was awesome.

138K in my '01

147K and counting in the '04. 5. I might have to keep this one for a while. It drives me nuts with all its quirks, but it just keeps going and going.

285K total in mine plus maybe 5K or so in dad's.

1996 Dodge 2500 Ext Cab full bed 2 wheel drive... 130,000 stock except for K&N drop in filter and Straight 4" exhaust, Rear axle seals are the only problems I had with it way back when it was still under warranty

2007 Dodge 2500 just turned over 2500 miles, not even 2 months old yet. :D
