I am looking for any and all info on who has the highest millage on a clutch. 100K, 300K,?? Any info would be great. I have a factory powered truck and clutch(for now). How long it will last with very low mods to my truck, and not towing any trailers. Who has the highest miles on their factory set up? I want to see what the spread is. Thanks guys

Dave

My factory clutch started slipping at 25K miles - I also put on an EZ at the same time. Most say an EZ is low mods. But with the opportunity to put in the centerforce I was also able to put in some injectors too. :D

When I changed it out there was plenty of surface left but it wouldn't hold power. Guess you were hoping for bigger numbers huh? ;)

I have 111K miles. I'm stock except for 370 injectors I put in about 50K miles ago.

I'm pretty easy on the truck.

I'm even on the stock brake shoes and pads. :-laf

I have 122k on my stock clutch. I added the Comp at 88k, it will slip a few times a month. I can never get it to slip everyday, I am looking for a reason to get a South Bend.

On my 91 D250, 294,000 miles still going strong, 01 has 88,000, working good. However on my CTD powered Ford w/12 clutch, I am lucky to get 20,000 miles per clutch!

Impressive-- You are easy.

My OEM clutch went at 70k, no mods. Centerforce is still holding strong at 156k now. Lots of hauling, though.

Oh, I dont know how many clutches have been in my work truck. Ive had it since aug. '04, and last spring she twisted the hub out of an OEM quality clutch, arround 280k I think.

My '03 has 147,000 on the original clutch. I leave my banks six gun w/speed loader on level 3. A little over 100,000 of those miles were put on towing fifth wheel travel trailers, and my route goes over 4th of july pass, Lookout pass and Rogers pass.

Sounds to me like there is no rhyme or reason for clutch failure, other than how each and every individual truck is driven. I purchased my truck with 50K on it, therefore it is a complete crap shoot predicting when it needs to be replaced. I will just have to drive it until it won't move any more.

I had around 120k on my clutch when I changed it, the truck had an Edge Comp installed at 42k and I never slipped the clutch until I did a 3rd gear low truck pull with it, she stunk bad! but I was still able to run it until I got my dual disk and that was quite a while. The 5 speed clutches actually seem to be pretty strong as far as factory clutches go

I have 133k on a stock clutch, I have the 6 speed, put a van aaken on 10 k ago, and 3k ago I put on a comp. the comp only gives 95HP instead of the 130hp like on the ETC motors.

108k on Factory clutch. Holds the power listed on my sig,but i try to treat the clutch like a light switch. on or off no slipping.

I got about 3 miles out of my stock clutch after adding RV275s to my Catcher. I had never towed, raced, or pulled. I think I'm a pretty easy person on a clutch too. It slipped bad when I got on it the first time and worse daily until I got a Con FE. I trust this clutch a lot.

Had 140,000 on it and put in a new one cause the pilot bushing seized up on the input shaft. The clutch had about 60% life left in it.

142,000 and no problems yet. I am easy on the clutch but i drive the truck like i stole it. Even when i tow my car i stand on the loud pedal. Randy

My 2000 red dually 5 speed got 130K on the stock clutch, truck was stock except for a van aaken, I was Hotshotting with this truck so it towed hard and fast from day one.

My 2001 2500 5 speed has 136K on the stock clutck, stock except for the EZ and still going strong.
