I'm trying to debate whether to go through with the core charge after I get my EDM's. Are the stock injectors worth any more than $100? Mine will probably have around 90,000 miles on them by the time I get the others installed.

The reason I ask is OPoole is offering a no core charge special on them this month. But if there isn't really a market for them, I don't see the point. I know I'm coming out ahead even if I get $5 for them but is there really a need for them out there with the cheap alternatives like the 275's?

What do you guys think?

I like to keep lots of spare stuff laying around in case I need it. As far as keeping stock injectors, I would keep them for 3 reasons: 1. if your state does emissions testing like mine does, you will probably need them to pass, depends on how wild of injector you install. 2. if your truck is still under warranty and you take it in for a VP44 or other engine/drivetrain problem, they won't warranty it if you have changed to higher HP injectors. 3. if you ever decide to sell the truck, you can stuff the stockers back in and sell the hot-rod ones on TDR, because most people want a "stock" truck. So my advice is take Olee up on his deal!!!! :D :D

It is always better to keep the stock injectors. That way if you have a problem down the road, you will have a stock set to get a base-line diagnosis from.

Keep them. Yes, they are only worth $100, but if the core charge is free, it is worth it. There are always people around here that will pay you the $100 for them.

I was wondering if there was really a market for them. I'll be keeping this truck until there's nothing left of it and my warranty is out in May. I'll sell them if I ever need a few extra bucks.

On a side note - I just ordered a set of Don's injectors from OPoole!

I don't think you will get big money for them. I just sent mine in for cores. I wish I would have kept mine just for spares though. just my $. 02

The cores are not worth that much. But it's the hassle of getting them back to build more injectors. I have 3 good running sets of stock injectors if anybody needs them. I pulled them from good running trucks wrote down the year and miles on the box. Heavyhauler thanks for order and good luck with your Mach 1. 6s!!!

That's what I'm hearing! I can't wait to get them - hopefully I'll have time to put them in within the next 2 weeks. Everyone that has them on here says they're perfect so that's good enough for me! :D

Glad to hear that you love yours too!

Mach 1. 6s are looking to be the hot ticket this summer. Talking with Don today about them looking right at 90hp but they feal like a good 100hp with Less EGTs.
