Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How much boost

How much boost should I be seeing with an 01 ram (auto) with an edge ez?? The instructions talk about a brass fitting to replace bit not on the 01 autos. I am not seeing any increase in boost over stock

Since your wastegate is still set for "Stock" setting... . then all your gonna see is 20psi tops. The wastegate is opening and dumping anything "Extra" you have.



On the manuals you change the elbow to trick the wastegate. On the 2001+ autos you gotta use a spring and or a turnbuckle to slow it down. . and some even disable it.

Here's what I did.........

With just the EZ you won't see much boost over stock. 24 lbs. or so. The spring set up will help with higher boost applications but with just an EZ you'll probably never get it to move. Effectively disabling it. The HY turbo you have isn't a bad little turbo and the extra heat is taken care of by the intercooler.
