I was talking to Ted Jannetty (sorry if I mispelled) the other day about the PE vs the VA. He was talking about the load placed on the fuel pump is pretty high with ANY box without a timing module because the ammount of fuel is increaseing but the timing is not(same duration of fuel delivery, just more fuel) he said that is very tough on fuel pumps Especially with STOCK injectors. So what is a guy to do? I would not mind getting 275's to help take the load off the pump but I do not want that much smoke. Bottom line is it soundslike (correct me if I am wrong) The VA would be better until the PE Has a timing module. I do not want to fry my fuel pump !! $$$ What do you guys think??

I no of nobody with a PE having had a pump failure.

I would be more concerned about fuel supply to the pump then timing.

Cannonball, do you think I would be better off with a VA, boost mod, and matched 275's OR just the PE? I am waiting for my 4'' exh to arrive and also guages, and BD T. C and valve body.
How much smoke do you think I would get with the VA and the 275's?(boost mod also) Do the newest VA's come with an integral boost mod?

I sure wish the boys at PE had that timing module!!!!

HOV, I do not know how much power you are in seek of.

I have the DDStage1 injectors with the Practical Solutions boost module.

I had the chance this weekend to experiment with a VA on my truck with the above mentioned.

I think it is a great combination. There was smoke on the initial take off when the accelerator was mashed though.

I liked the additional power the VA provided in the lower rpm's.

I think PE is coming out with a version of there box that addresses timing from what I understand.

Decision's, decision's.

PE is coming out with a timing module , and my understanding is that it will be a stand alone unit . the combo of VA , 275's and a boost module of some sort does create smoke at low boost levels due to the parameters of fueling programmed into the VA , the VA having a boost module and and some programming to go along with it would be sweet , but i don't see it coming. the PE is good with stock injectors , but is better with 275's and a VA , only problem with a VA with this combo is to much smoke in any level of the PE except level 1. i too am awaiting the timing module from PE , that will complete an already good package.
