I have a 5" exhaust on a wrecked common rail (2005) and would like to use any/all parts of it on my 1994 Dodge 2500. What would be necessary to be modified in order for this to work?

Big difference in the turbo drop pipe. The '05 has a rear mount turbo with a 4" outlet, the '94 is center mount with 3" outlet so size and angles would be off. The rest might work if the trucks were about the same length.

Hopefully I could get a 5" down-pipe for a 1994 and the rest might work? I do have a standard cab 2 wd for both of the trucks.

If you have the exhaust pull some measurements and see where the differences are. Aside from the down pipe the tail pipe might also be a tad different, nothing a little lengthening or shortening couldn't fix. Also if angles are off where it goes over the diff it could be cut apart and re welded.
