for fuel or gasoline on your commute to work??

I have a 160 mile roundtrip commute daily and in my ricer it is costing me $15 a day @2. 06 per gallon( this morning, last was 1. 99) of 87 octane.

Lets see... 32 mi round trip per day, non-turbo diesel Rabbit... 40-48 mpg, diesel cost 1. 95, about a buck and a half a day. :D :D

cost of fuel to commute

My commute is six miles each way or 12 miles round trip at about 20 mpg in the CTD or about a dollar a day, maybe a little more. My last fill up was with $1. 80/gal. diesel. My costs come on the weekends when I go somewhere. I have commuted on the bicycle to work and it only takes about 10 minutes longer than driving. Hopefully fuel prices will drop again real soon. This is ridiculous.

I drive a good 800 miles a week and fiquire my daily fuel cost is about $10. 25 :( Man these fuel prices gotta go back down :(

I put whopping 8 mies a day on my car (the truck doesn't even have heat by the time I get to work in the winter! The car gets 27mpg on th ehighway but only 20 when I commute to work in it.

Let's see, I live 7 miles from work... two ways... .

$1. 66/gal... . about 18 mpg...

About a $1. 29 a day to work and back.

Problem is, I love to drive my truck so much that I usually put 40 mi/day on it just running around town for no good reason!

About 1 gallon / day right now (16 miles at $1. 80), but will go up some after we move into our new house. It's about 24 miles round trip. Of course, we won't have to drive to the new house to check progress and then to the apartment every day, so that will actuall cut down the driving.

28 miles round trip and average fuel economy is currently 18 mpg. Guesstimate $3. 00 per day at these fuel prices.

I do weekend trips and the occasional evening across state lines. That's where the fuel goes.

I got ya beat Bill, I roll out of bed and walk to the next room and I'm at work. I work for myself at home. I run to town once or twice a week though, usually to go to the gym and cure my cabin fever. Working from home is everything you'd think it would be, but it can be tough to stay focused. Tim

truck

I travel about 75 miles a day, @ 17 miles per gallon x 1. 79

for diesel = about 8 bucks

Geo metro

75 miles a day @ 40 mpg x 1. 64 for 87 octane = hair over 3 bucks

The Geo isn't near as fun though, I find as many excuses as I can to drive the old diesel;)
