I've got the mag-hytec differential covers on both the front & rear. I had my fluids changed about 20K ago and I can't remember how much fluid it takes for the front and rear with the new covers. Anyone know off hand? Also, which 75w-90 synthetic do you recommend? Mobil 1, Valvoline, Royal Purple etc. .

If I recall correctly it should be about 5qts for the front and 8 qts for the rear. It's been a while, so I am not 100% certain on these figures. I am partial to Mobil 1 for my diff fluid; either that or Redline.

I'll buy 15 just to make sure. I think i'm gonna go with Amsoil 75w-90 severe gear fluids. It had great test results.

I have a Mag-Hytec diff rear cover that I installed at 15k, this used 8 Quarts of 75W-90 Amsoil. I just know have installed the front Mag-Hytec cover at 21K, this used 3 and 3/4 quarts of 75W-90 Amsoil. As you can see in my sig I also run the Mag-Hytec trans pan also.

I also have the transmission pan. I called the guy who I by my Amsoil stuff from & he's gonna order me 15 qts of the 75w-90 severe gear, cause I tow alot and also race, so that way I know I have great protection as well as a few extra qts for a reserve.

Ditto, I had my transmission re-done with the deep Mag-Hytec pan and the shop Amsoil'd it and the rear diff. The front diff fluid was fine so we left it alone with the stock fluid.
