Look here for Carli... ... ... ... I have been told KORE is MUCH more.

Bob

That is far from true. KORE does offer performance systems that cost less than Carli kits, as well as more. Where is Carli's kit that compares with the KORE Chase kit? The next step up from their starter kit costs twice as much as the Chase kit. And I'd have to say that the Chase kit is a performance suspension kit.

That is true but let's please compare apples to apples.

Carli's starter system is comparable to the Core Recon. Carli's system has a better price.

Carli's Performance 2. 5 is comparable to Core Race. Carli's pricing is still better and even includes a pan rod bar.

Carli's Advanced Dominator 3. 0 is comparable to the Core Unlimited. Carli's pricing is yet again better and it has 3. 0 diameter shocks which no one else even offers on the market.

So all in all I would have to side with Bob on this. By the way, Bob has experienced both the Core and the Carli kit. Have you?

Not really apples to apples. There are reasons for pricing. It takes a lot of work and money to come up with good products, probably half that to knock them off and make your own.

Guaranteed the KORE VR Coil is much more expensive to make than the Carli coil. It comes on the Recon, Chase, Race, and Unlimited systems.

The KORE unlimited system comes with the billet control arms that are much more expensive to make than the Carli imitations of the KORE Chase series arms. The splined shaft, race style anti-swaybar also drives the cost up. And 3. 0 shocks? They have been an option all along. Notice all the race trucks running 3. 0s in the KORE towers. It was a 3. 0 back in 2004 when Kroeker first raced the Baja 1000 in the Beast. 3. 0's have been around in KORE equipped Dodges for quite some time, so let's not make any false market exclusivity claims here.

I haven't driven a Skyjacker system, but I am pretty confident the Carli system works better. I didn't need to drive either one to come up with that conclusion.

I would have to agree with ohnoitsyu... and he certainly wouldn't need to drive a Carli equipped vehicle, to see the value in the KORE Chase system.

Who put you up to this post Kparker, did some one get there feelings hurt. And dont forget who the designer and engineer of this system is Victor Ortiz who works with Carli now for some crazy reasons which can be found on the PIRATE4X4 forums here is a link for people to learn more about this http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=529160, some good reading huh:) . Flame on. Buy the way a splined swaybar shoudn't cost more then a couple hundred bucks please dont make me prove it like I have on other stuff. And the 3. 0 stuff give me a break he is talking about kits for the street and for the average guy to have the best out there not exclusivly to race trucks. Havent seen any litariture on kores site about 3. 0 for us regular people of the world.

Look who popped up. Jake Derbedrossian. You seem to have so much insight to the formative years of T-Rex/KORE. You are always so eager to try and give accolades to one Victor Ortiz. It is hilarious to me that I met you in person at Jason Hughes shop in San Diego, and you did not further educate me on the topic. Oh yeah, in fact you left without telling Jason or myself who you were. The infamous KORE hater/TDR member JDerbedrossian. Nope, you were just a stranger that wanted an axle truss. We both would have enjoyed the conversation. We could have put a few beers back while you explained to us how Kent Kroeker, of Kroeker Off Road Engineering, never engineered anything but a way to take advantage of a poor, brilliant, humble, innovative, aerospace engineer named Senor Ortiz. Que pasa Jake? Reality is there has been a lot engineered at KORE that has had absolutely nothing to do with your design god VO The Great. Ha ha.

Feelings hurt? Jake you seem to be the emotional one. Look at your signature. FINALLY NO MORE KORE PRODUCTS. Were they caustic? Was your truck melting away? If I had a Defiant light bar on my truck and eventually replaced it, I wouldn't put it in my signature and tell the world how he stole the idea from Greg Boardman. Who would care? Looks like a nice light bar to me.

No I have not been put up to anything. I am fairly certain Mr. Kroeker knows nothing of this thread, nor would he care. He knows the prices of his systems, which is what this thread is about. Apples...

By the way, are you in the market for a KORE Unlimited system Jake? If so when it arrives it will most certainly have 3. 0" shocks in there for you. Race systems can be ordered that way too if you so desire. Those towers have been machined to accommodate the big shock for a long time. Us regular people of the world, don't usually have a need for them. They are cool though. So are Carli's airbags by the way. Something that has been needed to be addressed for quite some time. Oh, don't worry Jake, I seriously doubt Kent Kroeker is interested in making anything similar.

Jason knew who I was I explained myself to him and talked about Pauls truss he was working on that was ready a day or two later. I knew this would get you all excited facts are facts. Should we start to bring out some patent info or should we stop while were ahead. I dont need to explain again why I take this to heart, just read the pirate forums and that explains most of it.

I won't argue about the low-end Carli Starter System or the 2. 5 and above systems having a better price or performance than the KORE equals.

My point is that Carli doesn't have anything in the $2k range like the KORE Chase system. If they had, I would have bought it, but at the time I bought my Chase, the only system Carli had above the Starter system was $3. 5k. Granted, that's a better system than the Chase. However, I only wanted/needed $2k worth of performance.

Carli is missing the largest group of potential customers by not having anything between his $1250 and $4091 price range. That leaves customers who are looking for a good performance system on a moderate budget going to KORE.

Again, I'm not advocating that one company is better than another. Since Carli is local and easy to communicate with, I would have much rather have purchased a Carli kit in the middle price range, but they just don't offer anything.

The Pirate 4x4 thread? A bunch of whining and opinions, nothing else. It was a good unregulated forum for people to attack the likes of a Robin Stover. One of the industries real straight shooters. A great place where you ambassadors of suspension theory can end your posts with bouncing middle finger smileys. Pathetic.

What does your patent info prove? Maybe that the first T-Rex tower had both Kroeker's and Ortiz name on it? Exactly. The fact is that was a design patent. Purely for the appearance of the part. The actual utility patent for the concept of how the tower works has only one name on it, Kent Kroeker. The guy who actually did the conceptual design of it. Keep doing your so called research. Besides, you are merely referring to a single mechanical component that has little to do with the thought that originally went in to making the whole system work. But believe what you want, just simmer down and quit spouting out b. s. everytime your fingers hit the keyboard.

Ohnoitsyu, has KORE not been answering the phones? They may not be as local, but they do usually answer the phones I believe. If not, call Jason Hughes at HRC, or Loren Worthington of Worthington Off Road. Both experienced off road racers who know the KORE products inside and out.

J Miltier, Here are some phone numbers for you;

HRC (619)298-3568

Worthington Off Road (661)713-3443

KORE (760)749-8687

Carli (714)532-2798 I got this number off his website, dark blue numbers with dark grey background. Someone might mention that it is a little hard to read.
