Karl,
You wanna talk stupid... the last three times(and yesterday as a matter of fact) I had to fill up,I drove days past the warning light coming on. All three fillups came to 34 to 34. 5 gallons! Doh!

My wife's '95 has an inop fuel sending unit. I do have a new sending unit sitting here, but haven't had time to put it in yet,so she drives 675-680 miles before filling up. Well, two weeks ago her and her cousin were driving home from a bar. I was there but left right before they did. I sat at home and after 45 minutes,I kinda wondered what was taking them so long. I figured something was wrong so I jumped on the highway to backtrack... sure enough, there they sat on the northbound shoulder, outta fuel! Good thing hers is a 12 valve, because those have a built-in hand plunger to re-prime the fuel system. Ontop of that, finding a gas station that was open *AND* that sold gas cans AND diesel at 2:30 in the morning was next to impossible. Meanwhile I was 100 miles past the warning light on my truck.
Okay you can quit laughing now!
