Competition Fast 2WD?

What HP would you say is "respectable" in street class sled pulling. I know that 100 more HP than who ever pulled it through the gate last will do;but Im just looking for a base line or starting point. Thanks

looks to me like the trick is actually getting there ballanced by a stock motor. Is this correct or do they allow certain goodies?

The so called "street" classes are getting out of hand, depending on the turbo rules a real Street class I would think 350 to 500hp. I think you can keep up with "hotter" trucks if your truck is set up right. It is not "all" about hp, but it never hurts.

Greg,

A Solid 400 Hrs Truck Would Rule the Little Events Around here . Just get lucky and hope a few good trucks are at bigger events that night.

Craig, When you say set up... . but not necessarily HP... . what do you mean? (I don't want you to give away the farm) But are you talking tires, ladder bars, weight distribution? (non HP add ons) or do you mean on HOW you aquire that HP (turbo size, injectors, cam ect. )? BTW are you in Zanesville saturday?

LOL,Chad, thats pretty bad when I have to check the pulling schedule, just to make sure the big boys wont be in town... :-laf And those abvriations are for Perry,Licking, and Fairfield boys only. Outside of those areas folks have no clue what you mean :D

Thanks again for the info guys, that gives me a lot to think about. (or an excuse to run away :-laf )
