Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How Much HP with 4" exhaust

How much HP am I restricted to with a 4" exhaust. I know guys who run twins are running 5". I'm guessing thats required ?

I seem to remember reading somewhere around 500HP. I also read that the exhaust on the Banks Sidewinder is a 4" and they had something like 735HP at the crank.

I hit 676 a few yrs back and I know there were and are others over 600 and and a few over 700-Jetpilot was way up there too like 768 or something and even busted 800 but I don't remember his set up when he did that--again this was all a few yrs ago--but there are plenty over 600 now running 4"... ... ... ... chris
