I just bought thias truck 94 std cab 2wd auto. The truck will only get to about 30 mph and it takes a while to roll up to that speed. The transmission slips so bad it would only roll half way up the trailer ramps.
My brother in law just dropped of the truck at a shop andy they quoted $1800because it was a diesel when I was thinking $1300 like they charge for a chevy 350 transmission rebuild. This is a beater work truck with 320K that won't be towing much.
Is there a lower cost rebuild available?
