How much $$$ is an oil press sender?

Just deciding if it's worth the hassle of going to the dealer and having the mechanic monkeying with my truck.

Eric, I recall around $70 for an OEM sender plus $12 for a sender socket for the install. Cheaper aftermarket auto parts senders don't hold up, save your money by buying the OEM first.

I'm assuming it's covered by the 100K warranty.

Heck if it's free let them do it. Such a simple job. Disconnect wires, unscrew old one, screw in new one and connect wires. Got mine at NAPA and have over 200k on it.

If I can get it for a little less, I'll do it myself.

Now, if it was a liftpump that would be an entirely different story.

I think theyre a bit more.

Got mine for 64$ at my local Cummins shop. All you need to install is a 1 1/4 or 32 MM deep socket(a 6' extension helps). Takes 5 minutes.
