I am wondering how much this is going to cost? My 2001 2500 4X4 6 speed, needs lower ball joints, shocks, front axel ujoints, clutch, and e rated tires. What is the ball park and how big is it?

That is a bunch of stuff to replace. ball joints, clutch, and tires are a pain. The shocks and ujoints are easily replace able. I'm not sure about labor but parts alone will be $1500-2000. I would make sure that someone wasn't pulling my leg before I replaced all that.

At a dealer, that is going to cost your approx 3500 OTD...

If you shop around and do a few things yourself you can get away with everything for about 2000-2500 bucks

Approximate cost for parts:

Upper and lower ball joints cost around $500-$600.

A SBC FE Clutch is around $1000 (machined flywheel add $50, at a local machine shop).

Tires ~=$700-$800 (there are cheeper tires to be found).

Shocks ~=$200-$300.

Front U-Joints ~=$100.

Labor == double the cost of parts (at the dealer).

There is nothing there that the average mechanic can not do. It just takes time to do. The hardest part is removing the transmission, but if you have a good transmission jack and a good place to work, it is not that difficult (with two people).
