had an issue w/ my airdog raptor when I removed the stock lift pump and filter housing, before removal, it showed steady 15 lbs, after bypassing (and replacing the banjo fitting with a 1/2 " j fitting into the IP, my guage was reading 25 lbs, after backing off the pressure screw ALL the way, it only got down to 22 lbs, so I called AIRDOG, their tech crew advised me to cut 2 coils from the spring, which lowered the pressure to the point where it could be adjusted down to 11 lbs, but he said the vp44's like a steady press. of 14-16 to insure good cooling flow under full throttle, as well as cruising speed ( fuel is the vp44's coolant). So that told me how much restriction the stock filter, lift pump, and banjo fittings present in their stock configuration. So for power, reliability, and simplicity, 1/2" lines from tank to pump, and aftermarket lift pump, the solution to dodges lack of engineering.
